Stores Designer

Helping distributed teams at Amazon build consistent shopping experiences without hand-coding each one — the question I carried out of Luthier, at a bigger scale.

Role
Frontend engineer — design-system tooling and the design system that keeps what teams build consistent.
Where
At Amazon · 2023–present.
The line
The direct successor to Luthier: same premise, larger surface.

The premise

Many teams, one shopping surface. Left alone, each team rebuilds the same components slightly differently and consistency erodes. The job is to make the consistent path the easy path — a design system plus tooling that lets people build real experiences quickly, on shared rails, without hand-coding every screen.

It's the same idea as Luthier — build against a shared system so consistency is the default, not a thing you police afterward — applied to shopping experiences instead of marketing graphics, and to many teams instead of one.

What I work on

Front-end for the tooling, and the design system that keeps what teams build consistent. The way I think about AI on this site — verification loops, keeping a human in the judgment seat — comes from working on problems like this one.

This is production work at Amazon, so it's kept deliberately high level here — no internal detail.
